The Pottery Studio at the North Port Art Center is planning a one-day Raku workshop using horsehair and feathers. Students will be given 5 pounds of Raku clay to create the projects (3 total) of their choice. Your pieces must be bone dry for this workshop.
Terra Sigillata will be available to participants to introduce color into their Raku creations. Horsehair and assorted feathers will be provided, however, feel free to bring your own feathers if you wish to use something specific (e.g. peacock).
We are not able to accommodate walk-ins for this workshop, so contact the NPAC at (941) 423-6460 to pre-register and obtain your allotment of Raku clay.
