It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to the biggest champion of the North Port Art Center, Louise Hall. Louise was one of the founding Mothers of the original Art Guild. Her dream was to grow the guild to the fine arts center and for the art center to have its own building.
As the city grew so did her passion. She got to know our community members and was well respected by all. Louise was involved with the entire community not only with the North Port Art Center.
In 2007, the North Port Art Center opened its doors. The city had allowed the North Port Area Art Guild to use its city’s building.
Our own building will help us provide a unique hub for the culture of fine arts. For the last 30 years the North Port Art Center has striven to meet the needs of the North Port Community and now its time for us to keep it going.
At our annual gallery Heist Fundraiser, Louise made a donation and challenged the rest of the community to help realize her dream of a beautiful art center as a gift to the future community of the city of North Port.
$10,000 is set aside to be used as a matching challenge so as to assist the North Port Art Center in their quest to grow. She realized he importance of using her money as an investment for the betterment of the North Port Art Center and the city of North Port.
So with your assistance we can turn this $10,000 into $20,000.
Please give generously to the North Port Art Center in Louise’s name.
